PS5: Sony postpones the broadcast scheduled for June 4 – News

Friday evening, Sony gave us an appointment this Thursday, June 4 at 10 p.m. for the presentation of PS5 games. The publisher / manufacturer, who had even bought advertising spots, however, decided to postpone the event.

The main official account of Sony has just announced the news. Even if Sony does not clearly indicate it, it seems that the current situation, linked to the death of George Floyd, having led to demonstrations and oppositions to the police in different cities of the United States, is at issue.

We have decided to postpone the PlayStation 5 event scheduled for June 4. While we understand that players around the world are excited to see PS5 games, we don’t feel that this is the right time to organize this celebration. We want to sit back, and let bigger voices be heard.

For the time being, Sony has not given a new date for the dissemination of the event, which, as we recall, will be entirely digital.
