Proximus reopens physical stores after closing for a week and a half – IT Pro – News

The Belgian provider Proximus reopened its 82 physical stores on Thursday. The provider closed the stores because of the corona pandemic, but there was a lot of demand from customers to open the stores again.

The closure was voluntary, because the Belgian government allows telecom shops to remain open during the current lockdown, writes Business AM. Because customers wanted to go there again, Proximus has decided to reopen the stores. That happened on Thursday.

The stores were closed on Monday last week. Proximus had announced this two weeks ago at the presentation of the quarterly figures. The closure of the stores was part of a package of corona-specific measures. This also includes an investigation into a new role for the head office with remote working as a starting point and the temporary scrapping of the download limit for customers with the cheapest subscription.
