Provincial Government Must Pay Commitment Fee Formula E Rp 90 billion, Here’s the Response of the Deputy Governor of DKI

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that he just found out that there was an additional commitment fee obligation Formula E of Rp 90 billion. It is known, the nominal is listed in the report on the results of the BPK examination.

“I just received information from you,” said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Jl Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta, Monday (20/6/2022).

Even so, Riza was reluctant to respond further regarding the BPK’s findings. He only asked JakPro as the organizer of Formula E to provide an explanation regarding the reason for the additional commitment fee.

“If the results from BPK are there is an increase in fee commitments, please ask JakPro to understand and understand the cause,” he said.

As is known, the Examination Result Report (LHP) from the DKI Jakarta BPK on the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s financial report reveals the results of the renegotiation of the DKI Provincial Government through JakPro regarding the implementation Formula E Jakarta. The report states that there is still a mandatory payment of 5 million pounds or Rp 90 billion (current exchange rate) related to the commitment fee.

From the LHP document obtained on Monday (20/6/2022), in the initial contract, it was planned that Formula E would be carried out for 5 seasons, namely 2019-2024. It is stated that the operating costs consist of fixed costs and variable costs.

“Total fixed costs in the form of commitment fees which must be paid annually for 5 seasons of implementation are worth GBP 122,102,000 (approximately IDR 2.2 trillion). Meanwhile, the assumption of variable costs in the form of costs for implementing Formula E that will be issued by PT JakPro is IDR 1,239 .000,000,000,” said the LHP document.

After that, it turned out that there was a renegotiation between PT JakPro and the FEO or Formula E Operation which agreed to implement Formula E for 3 years, namely 2022-2024. The total commitment fee for the 3 years is 36 million pounds sterling (approximately IDR 653 billion).

“And until 2021, a payment of 31 million pounds sterling has been made (approximately IDR 563 billion). The remaining commitment fee obligation of 5 million pounds sterling will be paid by PT JakPro in the 3rd year with non-APBD funds,” he added.

When dikurskan at this time, the remaining 5 million pounds it is around Rp 90 billion. The funds are the obligation of the DKI Provincial Government through JakPro in the 3rd year, namely 2024 without using the APBD.
