Xiaomi, a smartphone manufacturer from China has recently introduced its newest handset, the Mi 11 Ultra, which is included in the Mi 11 Series lineup. One thing that is quite interesting, Xiaomi dares to immerse the IP68 waterproof feature into the smartphone.

Well! To show off the feature, Xiaomi has just tested the Mi 11 Ultra under water carried by a diver. The test is quite interesting. Yes! The diver did it by unboxing the Mi 11 Ultra and the test video was shared by Xiaomi via Weibo.

Obviously, the unboxing of the Mi 11 under water is a reflection of the success that Xiaomi has achieved in producing the Mi 11 Ultra with IP68 support. From the video we can also see that the unboxed device is able to operate normally, even in extreme conditions such as underwater.

Both the Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Pro are the first series of smartphones from Xiaomi to be IP 68 certified for water and dust resistance. Both smartphones are safe to dive to a depth of 1.5 meters and last up to 30 minutes.

The Mi 11 Ultra’s water and dust resistance capabilities are thanks to a Gorilla Glass coated front, ceramic back and aluminum frame, all of which combine to prevent water and dust from affecting the device.

Mi 11 Ultra was released in March 2021 and is currently selling for around US $ 1,440 or around Rp.20 million. This smartphone runs Android 11, has an Octa-core CPU and 8GB / 12GB RAM support and 256GB / 512GB internal storage.

This smartphone is also enhanced with a powerful rear camera module, using a Samsung GN2 1 / 1.12 ″ 50MP sensor for the main camera. In addition, there is also support for a 48 MP 5x periscope camera and a 48 MP 12mm ultra-wide camera.

The exciting features of the Mi 11 Ultra will also provide instant traction to its growing customers, and Xiaomi is expected to reap from the projected surge in demand for smartphones with a waterproof rating.

Coming as a “premium flagship” smartphone, the Mi 11 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G, Qualcomm’s flagship chipset. This smartphone packs a 6.81-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,440p + and a refresh rate of 120Hz. A 5,000 mAh capacity battery which is also supported by 67W fast charging.
