Protests Spread to Tehran, Demonstrators Condemn Iran’s Supreme Leader

TEHERAN – Protests triggered by the water crisis in Iran expanded to the capital Tehran on Monday (26/7) according to a video shared online.

Protesters chanted slogans against Iran’s rulers.

“The clerics are clearly lost,” protesters shouted in a video, referring to the clerics in power in Iran.

Another video shows protesters chanting “death to the dictator,” a chant used regularly in anti-government demonstrations in Iran against the country’s highest authority, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The protesters also expressed their disapproval of Iran’s foreign policy.
