New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Sunday lifted the week-long curfew that was imposed on the city due to anti-racism protests sparked by the death of George Floyd.

“Yesterday and last night we saw the best of our city,” de Blasio tweeted, indicating that the curfew in effect between 8 pm and 5 am was ending “immediately”.
