According to media reports, two people have been killed in protests against police violence in Cicero, a suburb of Chicago.
At least 60 people were arrested, according to NBC and CBS, citing local government officials. Several lootings are said to have taken place in the city on Monday (local time), including in a liquor store. At first, no details were known.
According to the NBC, more than 100 police officers were deployed, and forces from the Illinois State Police and Cook County Sheriff’s Office were called in.
