Protesters have gone to Lukashenko’s residence in Minsk

Thousands of protesters have gone to Alexander Lukashenko’s residence, or Independence Palace, in Minsk on Sunday afternoon, September 6, foreign media reported.

According to Tut.by, an Omani unit blocked the way for the demonstrators, but behind it you can see armored vehicles.

The participants of the demonstration behave peacefully, but always chant “Go away!” (Уходи). It is not known where Lukashenko himself is now.

The protest, called the “Unity March”, took place on Sunday, September 6, at 2 pm in the center of Minsk, on Independence Square, but later the demonstrators marched towards Lukashenko’s residence.

According to eyewitnesses, “Interfax”, about 100 thousand Belarusians take part in the protest. On Sunday, demonstrations will also take place in other Belarusian cities – Grodno, Brest and Gomel.

According to the Human Rights Protection Center “Vyasna”, at least 76 people have already been detained in the “Unity March” in Minsk.
