Prosecutor’s Office Reveals Connection Between Boyko Borisov and Barcelonagate Scandal

The reference to the report on the external tracking of Naydenov is part of the documents that the prosecutor’s office submitted yesterday to the National Assembly to justify the request to remove the immunity of MP Boyko Borisov. In addition to the poodle, his cars are described: Mercedes, BMW and Toyota, the phone numbers used, participations in companies and the fact that the person does not have a fixed place of work and apparently works from home.

After the surveillance by the police, on June 3, investigators from the NSlS entered Naydenov’s home. The search was approved by the Sofia City Court and was conducted in the presence of the “deviant” Asen Naydenov. It ends with the seizure of documents, computers and phones. The court’s authorization and the protocol of the search are attached for the attention of the deputies.

Borisov paid

The data in the seized documents and devices lead to the Barcelonagate scandal and to Boyko Borisov personally. He was identified by the prosecutor’s office as the actual source of the 2.9 million euros used to buy a house in Barcelona, ​​reports from “Bivol” and BIRD.BG in his investigation.

As indicated in an earlier investigation into the role of Asen Naydenov, the banker has a stake in dozens of companies connected to Zlatev, but also to Borisov’s ex-companion Tsvetelina Borislavova. According to the investigators, it was he who operated the accounts and the transfers of the amounts. Naydenov was born in Russia and was a fellow student with Zlatev and Chaushev at the MGIMO Institute, a hotbed for Russian spies and agents of influence.

Specifically, for the house in Barcelona, ​​the money from Borisov went through the company Terra Tour Services, owned by a Cypriot offshore company, according to the document from the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office submitted to the Parliament. In it, Naydenov is a director, and Zlatev is identified as the ultimate owner.

Bivol and BIRD tried to contact Asen Naydenov at the phone number listed as his contact in the Pandora Documents facsimile, but he did not respond to the calls and text messages sent.

Borisov is the father

The prosecutor’s office points out categorically and without hesitation that Borisov is the father of the child of Borislava Yovcheva, with whom he had an intimate relationship. Evidence has been gathered, writes the supervising prosecutor, that Borisov denies this relationship in order not to be caught in corruption, since he did not have such an amount and has no way to explain its origin.

In his public appearances to date, Borisov has always denied that he has a house in Barcelona. Only once was he asked if he had a child by Borislava Yovcheva by Bivola correspondent Vildan Bayramova. His answer was: No!

Thus, in the documents submitted to the Parliament, for the first time there is a statement by the prosecutor’s office that Borisov is the father of the child. Previously, such assumptions were articulated in the information sent by the Spanish prosecutor’s office about the laundering of 5 million euros by persons related to former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.

The role of Chaushev and Zlatev in Barcelonagate has been discussed before, but the inclusion of Beyzad Yahya in the group is new. A request for legal assistance has been sent to Turkey to establish the accounts, properties and border crossing of Borislava Yovcheva and Beizad Yahya, who, according to the investigators, took BGN 300 million to Turkey and bought a luxury apartment, in which Yovcheva moved after left Barcelona with her child. Part of these funds were deposited in Ziraat Bank. This information correlates with the data from the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing about Yovcheva’s frequent and short entries into Bulgarian territory, which we reported days ago in an investigation into the development of Barcelonagate.

The prosecutor’s office opened a case for the organized crime group, which operated from October 2012 to December 2015 with the criminal purpose of money laundering under Art. 253 paragraph 1. of the Criminal Code. It is not clear how many members the group consists of, but from the documents it can be concluded that Boyko Borisov, Alexander Chaushev (the nominal owner of the house in Barcelona), Valentin Zlatev (a close friend of Borisov), Asen Naydenov (Zlatev’s banker) are involved. ) and Beizad Yahya (close to Borisov and manager of Palamara hunting farm). It is not clear whether industrialist Yordan Hristov, the last husband of Borislava, who is identified in the documents as Hristova, maiden name Yovcheva, will be involved. It is unlikely that the former “Miss Bikini” will also be charged with money laundering.

The data on the criminal activities of the group around the former prime minister, related to Barcelonagate, are already for the second day in the ordinary, not in the secret, record of the Parliament. They were introduced by the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev on the day the new government was voted in, which tacitly promised to “wash” Borissov. An “alert” deputy made sure that this information reached us. It is puzzling that so far not a single parliamentary group from the government majority or from the opposition has shown interest in getting to know these claims of Geshev, who after years of being a big tame shepherd dog from the kennel in Bankya turned into a big evil Doberman and chased his former master and his poodles.

The good news is, however, that after the establishment of a temporary Commission on Immunities, the data on these files will become public.
