Attorney Stephan Frotz criticizes the lack of information / Peter Sidlo, according to the supervisor, not technically suitable
Vienna (OTS) – As the news magazine “profil” reports in its current issue, the supervisor who was supposed to confirm that an internal investigation at Casinos Austria AG (Casag) in connection with the appointment of Peter Sidlo’s board of directors had refused to pay his sanction in this regard. The Casag Supervisory Board had commissioned the internal investigation from the law firm Schima Mayer Starlinger and the accounting firm KPMG. Attorney Stephan Frotz should act as a supervisor and confirm that the investigation was conducted in accordance with the resolutions of the Supervisory Board.
profile is available from Frotz, who presented it at a Casag Supervisory Board meeting on December 2, 2019. The lawyer complains about the lack of information. Frotz writes: “With that in mind, you will understand that, as a ‘supervisor’, I am unfortunately not in a position to give a comprehensive, serious opinion on the ‘system and implementation’ of the examination with the necessary care.”
While the law firm Schima considered the former FPÖ district council Sidlo to be sufficiently qualified as CFO of Casag, Frotz comes to the opposite conclusion. He writes: “Ultimately, it is up to the BMF to assess whether the person envisaged for the management of a gaming company is technically suitable within the meaning of the … gaming law; Nevertheless, I am convinced that Mag. Sidlo does not have this technical aptitude. “Sidlo lacks” the necessary managerial experience from an objective point of view because of his professional career “.
