Professor Abdul Malik Fadjar Dies

Former member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) Professor Abdul Malik Fadjar passed away, Monday (7/9/2020) at 19.00 WIB earlier. He died at the age of 81 years.

The news of the death of Abdul Malik Fadjar was conveyed by the General Secretary of Muhammadiyah, Abdul Mu’ti, Monday (7/9/2020) evening to SINDOnews.

“The news I received was that he died at 19.00. Please pray for him husnul hatimah and get the best place in the sight of Allah,” said Abdul Mu’ti through his written statement.

According to Mu’ti, Malik Fadjar was a Muhammadiyah figure who was very great, persistent, and lived a simple life.

“He is an example for the people of the Corporation, the ummah, and the nation. Muhammadiyah is very lost,” he said.

During his life, Malik Fadjar had held a number of positions, namely Minister of National Education of the Mutual Cooperation Cabinet (2001-2004), Minister of Religion of the Development Reform Cabinet (1998-1999), Rector of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (1983-2000).
