A professional horse rider denounces the rapes of which she was a victim when she was a teenager. An initial complaint was dismissed due to the prescription of the facts. She has just tabled two others.
While the world of skating is shaken by accusations of sexual assault, a professional rider denounces Thursday, February 6, sexual assaults by three individuals when she was a child, in the 1980s, learned Franceinfo. “I was a practitioner in horse riding and at the end of my 13-year year, I was the victim of my instructor, who raped and attacked me for ten years”, tells franceinfo Amélie Quéguiner. Today owner of the Ecuries de Liam, in La Roche Chalais (Dordogne), she has been a professional instructor and rider in show jumping.
“I filed a complaint two years ago against the first – and main – aggressor”, who worked in a club in Béarn, assures the rider, 50 years old today. According to her, the Pau prosecutor’s office had been responsible for the investigation. “The facts were prescribed, so I did not expect much personally. The investigation lasted a year and a half and justice therefore closed my case “, regrets the fifties. She had, then, not reported the facts to the French riding federation.
The Sports Ministry confirms that it had knowledge of this affair on Thursday morning and has been in contact with the rider since then, as well as with the federation, which in recent days has identified several similar cases that have occurred in recent years. Contacted, the FFE confirms having received the letter from Ms. Quéguiner and promises to communicate this Thursday afternoon.

During several meetings, this person -there raped me “ , again denounces the rider. “And during a detection course that we did before the French championships, I was the victim of another coach who gravitated in this environment and who trained other young girls like me. was also raped by this gentleman “, remembers Amélie Quéguiner. “I have an appointment with the gendarmerie of my village (note: in Dordogne) this afternoon to file a complaint against these two other people”. The three coaches have all practiced in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

The rider also regrets the action of the antenna “Youth and Sport” of Pau, to whom she had reported the case a year ago. “They had come to me to report my main attacker.
