Problems shooting? I only find out from the newspaper, says co-producer Jákl about the tragedy

“I read it in the American newspapers yesterday, it didn’t reach me at all,” said Jákl, who was not personally present at the filming of the Bonanza Creek ranch in New Mexico.

“My job in this film was just to raise money and the production is in charge of other producers, but none of them mentioned anything like that to me. I don’t know where it originated, “he added.

The Los Angeles Times wrote that people on the crew grumbled about the conditions of a low-cost film – long working hours, commutes or waiting for paychecks – and that the weapons used as props were not strictly inspected. Baldwin’s stuntman reportedly fired twice from the gun, although the filmmakers told him there were no bullets in it.

“The moment such a thing happens, other problems begin to arise. As for overtime, they are on every film, that is normal, “Jákl remarked.

“I only found out from the newspaper and I can’t comment on it anymore. Maybe in a while they will come up with something that was happening, but rather it was probably things that were circulating in the staff and did not reach me officially, “he added.

The main cameraman, Halyna Hutchins, died during the filming, and the gunshot wounded the director of the film, Joel Souza. The case is being investigated by the police. Jákl had previously described the event as an incredible tragedy. “When I imagine that someone would tell my family during the filming that I would not be back, I am really upset,” the producer reacted earlier, adding that the gunsmiths were fully responsible for the blind bullets in the weapon during the filming.
