Private car hits Yuen Long, a 14-year-old boy goes to the police to arrest the car owner and the driver is on the run

A car accident occurred last night in Yuen Long: a 14-year-old male secondary school student was hit by a private car, seriously injured and fell to the ground on the spot, while the car private went away. Neighbors sued the injured boy’s father who revealed his son suffered head and hand injuries and did not wake up after 6 hours of surgery. The source said after the investigation, police arrested a 43-year-old man, believed to be the owner of the private car that caused the accident, but the driver involved is still a fugitive.

Follow-up investigation by Transport New Territories North

Police had previously classified the case as “Car Accident Injured – Ignoring Accident” and turned it over to the New Territories North Regional Traffic Department for follow-up. Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact investigators immediately on 3661 3800.

It is understood that the boy who was studying in the Third Secondary was walking on the auxiliary pedestrian line and was violently shaken by a private car, was hit and flew to the place more than ten meters away, was seriously injured and is fell into a coma on the street. Rescuers arrived at the scene and took the boy to Tuen Mun hospital for treatment.
