Sources close to Kate and Prince William said the couple would release more information about his recovery in due course, according to The Sunday Times, which reported that his return is expected after April 17.
A source told the newspaper: “They are as open as possible when interacting with members of the public and I can imagine the Princess might discuss her recovery during her engagements. If she were to do so, that’s it. that she would.”
The source adds: “They will want to be clear and more open, but they will do it when they feel ready. I expect that will be his instinct and it will be his call. They will not be in a hurry.” Prince William will also take time away from public duties during their children’s Easter break, the newspaper reported.
Kate was admitted to the London Clinic – the private hospital where King Charles III was also treated for an enlarged prostate – for planned abdominal surgery. She left hospital on January 29, almost two weeks later, and returned to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. Details of the princess’s condition have not been revealed, but Kensington Palace previously said it was not cancer and that Kate wanted her personal medical information to remain private.
The palace reiterated this statement a few weeks ago when the royal’s spokesperson said: “We have been very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales is away until after Easter and that Kensington Palace will not would only provide updates when something significant happens.”
