In an interview on British television, Scobie told how he views the brothers’ quarrel. “It really does take some time to recover. I think the distance between the two brothers got bigger and bigger.”
Scobie believes that William could not appreciate Harry and Meghan announcing their withdrawal from the British monarchy completely unannounced. “He is not only Harry’s brother, but also the future king and he felt that Harry and Meghan’s statements had damaged the reputation of the family.”
