Originally, the plan for the count and his girlfriend was to stay in the Australian city of Sydney for a semester – from 1 August to 30 November – to study at the University of Technology.

Now the plans have changed for Nikolai and Thoustrup. Press adviser Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen tells that Picturemagazine.

– A jab at Queen Margrethe

Instead of returning home to Denmark after the end of the semester, the couple have decided to stay a little longer in Sydney than originally planned.

According to the website, the count will, among other things, celebrate Christmas in Australia.

By living in Australia, the 24-year-old feels in dad Prince Joachim’s footsteps. Previously, he lived and worked on a farm in Australia.

The couple met at the Herulfsholm boarding school. This will not be their first stay abroad together. After both started at Copenhagen Business School, they have been on exchange in Paris in connection with their studies.

Count Nikolai started studying Business Administration and Service Management in 2019.
