Prince Harry’s Legal Victory Against the “Daily Mail”

After several months of suspense, Prince Harry has obtained a legal victory in his lawsuit against the “Daily Mail”. The London courts have acted in his favor and his case will be examined by a British judge who will rule whether a crime has been committed against him.

What other celebrities also support Prince Harry?

The Duke of Sussex and a group of seven celebrities such as David Furnish, Elton John’s husband, Sadie Frost, Liz Hurley and Sir Simon Hughes sued the Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) conglomerate to which “Daily Mail” belongs for crimes such as harassment , for hiring private investigators to place listening devices inside cars, stealing private records and recording personal telephone conversations.

For its part, said media company has denied the accusations of Harry and the rest of the plaintiffs, calling them “absurd defamations.” However, it seems that they have enough evidence to demonstrate that a crime could have been investigated.

“We are delighted with today’s decision that allows our complaints about serious criminal activity and unpleasant privacy violations by the Mail titles to proceed to trial,” reads the statement issued by the prosecution.

However, not everything was smooth sailing for the plaintiffs, because the judge also ruled that two of them could not use the payment records they presented against the “Daily Mail”, since they are part of a 2011 investigation.
