Harry and Meghan have rejected allegations of hypocrisy in connection with the documentary series about their lives, foreign publications reported. A spokesperson for the couple said the Dukes of Sussex have never cited their private life as a reason to step back from royal engagements.
“They chose to share their story within the confines they deemed appropriate and the tabloids created a completely false narrative. This narrative dominates media coverage and public opinion‘ said the announcement from the Dukes of Sussex’s press secretary.

The couple’s 2020 statement did not mention the reasons for their withdrawal from royal family engagements.

The royal family has been bracing for fresh criticism after the couple launched bitter attacks on some of its members, including the current monarch and Crown Prince William, most notably in last week’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
While the first few episodes didn’t drop any new “bombshells” on the residents of Buckingham Palace, in a new trailer for the next three episodes shared on Twitter by the streaming company that broadcasts the title, Harry speaks of “institutional manipulation.”

At one point Meghan adds: “I wasn’t thrown to the wolves, they fed me“.
Buckingham Palace has said it will not comment on the series. According to Netflix, members of the royal family have declined to comment on the series, BTA reports. However, according to a royal source, neither the palace nor representatives of Prince William or other royals have been contacted.
