Prince Andrew sells a winter nest to have lawyers. The queen’s wallet remains closed

Giuffre is suing Andrew for alleged sexual assault while she was a teenager. He demands unspecified compensation, but there is speculation that it could be millions of dollars.

The American claims that the now-deceased court-recognized pedophile offender Jeffrey Epstein forced her to have sex with Andrew when she was 17 years old. Under the New York Act on Child Victims of Sexual Violence, she was therefore a minor. Andrew’s lawyers, on the other hand, argue that the sex age in the state is 17, so nothing illegal could happen. However, Giuffre accuses the prince of being forced to have sex with him against her will.

Andrew denies the allegations. According to him, he remembers exactly what he was doing that night when he was raped: He had dinner with his children at the Pizza Express restaurant in the English town of Woking.

He repaid the debt and sells the cottage

On Monday, it became clear that the queen’s son had repaid the amount owed for the purchase of his chalet in the Swiss resort of Verbier and decided to sell the building worth £ 17 million (CZK 497.7 million) straight away.

According to the Mirror newspaper, Andrew is motivated by pressure to raise money for legal services. “He pays for all the costs himself, so he needs to get cash quickly to pay the bills, which are increasing every day,” said a source in the prince’s neighborhood.

“Even if a financial settlement is made, and the possibility is there, then there is no doubt that the queen will not help him,” the source continued. High-ranking Crown officials, including Prince Charles and Prince William, were reportedly “utterly indignant” at the idea of the head of state paying Andrew’s bills.
