Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, a medical graduate, will work for the health service once a week during the epidemic of the new coronavirus, a government spokesman announced on Sunday.
Dr. Varadkar “offered his services to the Health Service Executive (HSE) for one session per week in the areas that fall within his field of activity“.

According to’Irish Time, Leo Varadkar, who obtained a medical degree from Trinity University Dublin in 2003, is to devote himself to the evaluation of the symptoms of patients by telephone.

In March, at the start of the Covid-19 epidemic in Ireland, the HSE called for the return of qualified health professionals who are no longer currently employed in the sector. Over 60,000 people answered the call.
According to the latest figures from the Department of Health released on Sunday, there have been 158 Covid-19-related deaths for 4,994 confirmed cases across the Republic of Ireland.
