This June 28 the World Day of LGBTiQ pride. Thousands of people around the world will march on the streets, and many others virtually from home due to the Coronavirus pandemic. But all with the same mission: to claim for the rights of the LGBTiQ community.
Throughout history, the film industry has played a very important role in the different human rights claims, and that of the LGBTiQ community is no exception. Many characters from series and movies have been served not only as part of the movement but also as inspiration for thousands of people.

This Saturday, June 27, Netflix made a live broadcast on YouTube where many personalities told their stories. The mexican actor Roberto Carlo was in charge of conducting the event.

In turn, Netflix has decided to create a complete catalog with all its LGBT-themed series and movies and a very easy way to access it. You can see the stories of Modern Family’s Mitch and Cam; Ander and Omar from Elite; and Carlota and Sara from Las Chicas del Cable, among many others.
