Prices are rising, but packages are getting smaller

Interviewees from the Estonian newspaper “Postimees” unanimously confirmed: the prices in the shops have significantly increased. And very often prices are raised without the consumer noticing. For example, one of the interviewees told of his last visit to the store: two cheeses from the same manufacturer were placed next to each other: one package weighed 300 grams and the other weighed 500 grams. At first I wanted to buy the larger package to save money, but then I looked at the price per kilogram – it turned out that cheese in a 300 gram package costs less per kilogram than cheese in a 500 gram package.

Something strange also happens with the packaging: they tend to “shrink”, at the same time the same cannot be said for the price of the product in question.
