According to Banco de México, the exchange rate in the spot interbank market ended at $ 23.76 per dollar. And the FIX ended at $ 23.68.
For this positive weekly closure, three factors were mainly combined: the advance in trade negotiations between China and the United States, whose representatives would already be working to make it happen. Second, the probable and prompt reopening of some sectors of the US economy. This data positively pushed several currencies and exchanges in Latin America.
Finally, the third factor that positively influenced the peso was the US unemployment figure: although it was high, it is considered lower than had been predicted.
