KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Samsung opened 2022 by announcing the specifications and prices of the Samsung S21 FE. As the name implies, this product is a cheap version of the flagship series Samsung Galaxy S21 which was released early last year.
The specifications and prices of the Samsung S21 FE were officially announced on January 9 globally. In Indonesia, this model is available in two variants, each with 8/128GB and 8/256GB of memory.
On the official Samsung Indonesia website, the price of the Samsung S21 FE 8/128GB variant is priced at IDR 8,999,000. While the 8/256GB variant is slightly more expensive at Rp. 9,999,000.
For comparison, the price of the regular version of the Samsung S21 cellphone is currently still in the class of Rp. 11 million and above.
As a more economical variant, of course there are some aspects that are now made simpler. The most visible difference is on the back which uses a plastic material, not glass like the regular variant.

The difference is also visible in the camera. Samsung S21 FE uses lenses telephoto 8MP, while the regular version uses a 64MP lens.
The front camera of the Samsung S21 FE is also different. This version uses lenses wide angle 32MP, compared to 10MP on the regular Samsung S21. However, this cheaper version does not support features Dual Pixel PDAF, Dual video call, and Auto-HDR. As a bonus, Samsung added gyro-EIS on S21 FE.
The processor used is still the same, Exynos 2100. With this, the performance presented does not seem to be much different. This is obviously very interesting considering the price of the Samsung S21 FE is a little more economical.
Another advantage can also be seen from the battery sector which now has a capacity of 4,500 mAh, complete with fast charging 25W. The regular Samsung S21 only uses a 4,000 mAh battery.
In general, the specifications that the Samsung S21 FE brings are almost on par with the regular version. The cheaper price of the Samsung S21 FE HP clearly gives more value to this product.
