Duel Arsenal vs Manchester City is the main menu of the Premier League this weekend. Former star player Gael Clichy predicts Man City will steal three points.

Arsenal will host defending champion Man City at the Emirates Stadium, Saturday (8/10/2023) evening WIB. Both teams occupy the top three positions on the standings with a difference of only one point.

The Gunners becoming one of two unbeaten teams in this competition, along with city rivals Tottenham Hotspur. In the last match, Arsenal beat Bournemouth 4-0.

On the other side, Man City had to accept that their winning trend stopped after falling 1-2 at home to Wolverhampton. In that match, the Citizens played without Rodri because he was serving a three-match suspension due to a red card.

Arsenal won the last meeting with Manchester City in the Community Shield, last August. However, the Citizens successfully won the last eight duels between the two clubs in the Premier League.

Clichy played for Arsenal and Man City when he was still actively playing. The former French international player believes that the Sky Blue will win.

“After losing in the competition last season, Arsenal will want to show the fans at the Emirates that they can compete with Manchester City. However, from Man City’s point of view, I am not worried even if Rodri is absent because their midfield is full of quality players,” said Clichy as reported M.E.N.

“It will be an amazing match with very high intensity. Mikel Arteta is a copy of Pep Guardiola, and you can see that he is a mini version of him with his tactics, on the sidelines and press conferences.”

“I think Manchester City will win this match. They have a quality squad and have [Erling] Haaland, who complicates the defense when he is very dangerous. “What Manchester City need to do is send the ball into the air to Haaland and he can hurt Arsenal,” Clichy added ahead of Arsenal vs Man City.
