You can reduce the risk of stroke with the right foods. These include nuts, olive oil, garlic, onion, spinach and avocado.

A Mediterranean diet prevents hardening of the arteries and olive oil in particular can be proven to prevent a stroke or heart attack. Atherosclerosis causes deposits, so-called plaques, to form in the arteries. These are caused by fat and lime. As a result, the blood can no longer flow well and the risk of circulatory disorders increases pharmacy magazine.

If blood pools, there is a risk of a thrombus, a clot of blood platelets. If this does not resolve on its own and remains undetected, there is a risk of complete vascular occlusion and thus a heart attack or stroke. Hardening of the arteries is the main cause of cardiovascular disease.
