the president of São Paulo, Julio Casares, denied this Tuesday that striker Alexandre Pato can return to the club. The player has been using the CT structure of Barra Funda to treat a cruciate ligament injury in his right knee.
– Pato is a great friend and asked to do the recovery at Reffis. He is there with great satisfaction. He has no bond beyond that. He left great memories, but he has nothing – said the director, after the CBF Technical Council, in Rio de Janeiro.
Free on the market, Pato suffered a serious injury in September last year, during a match against Orlando City in Major League Soccer (MLS).
The forward has an indefinite future after leaving the US club at the end of last year. For Orlando City, the striker played and made friends with Ecuadorian Méndez, current holder of the tricolor team.

The 33-year-old striker has a close relationship with São Paulo after two spells at the Morumbi club. Between 2014 and 2015 and 2019 and 2020, Pato added 133 games and 47 goals with the shirt of Tricolor do Morumbi.
