Carlos Alejandro Alfaro Moreno, president of Barcelona Sporting Club, discussed several topics in which he highlighted the empowerment of the squad that won the 2020 title, his relationship with LigaPro and his proposal to donate the old lights of the Monumental stadium for the Echaleche stage , owned by Mushuc Runa.
Alfaro Moreno, in a dialogue with radio Caravana, commented: “We are excited, proud of the beautiful team that we have created. I have the feeling that we have strengthened ourselves compared to the team that became champion. With great enthusiasm and hope, as we Barça fans like and with the premise of fighting for everything we are going to compete in ”.

It has made us much more professional in times of pandemic. I like the organization, knowing the fixture and everything that has been achieved. Before we complained about not knowing when we started and how long we would finish. As Barcelona we are proud to be part of this new stage of Ecuadorian football. When the clubs complain, and not the big ones, I remind them that before, the teams directly arranged our television rights on our own, today that contract is not convenient, Barcelona would fix twice; we have that feeling and we have investigated it. That is why I remind the clubs that complain that, if they receive what they receive, it is because the greats stop perceiving what they are entitled to. “We are applying for 2021, 2022 or 2023. We have spoken with the Municipality of Guayaquil, thinking about the repercussions it may have for the city, but we are in a pandemic. We hope that this will gradually be resolved, but we are aiming for 2022 due to the issue of Simón Bolívar and José de San Martín, what better publicity than to receive that final here.
