Co-Founder Formula E Alberto Longo says venue the electric car race in Jakarta will be announced before Christmas. President Jokowi is said to be determining venue Formula E Jakarta.
“So we’re going to do some sort of feasibilities study for in these five locations first before it is announced before Christmas and hopefully before Christmas there is already a decision. We will forward the proposal to the President of the Republic of Indonesia and he will take the decision, “said Alberto, in a press conference, Wednesday (24/11/2021).
Alberto also said currently five candidates venue Jakarta’s Formula E racing is still in the feasibility test phase. The five candidate circuits include the Sudirman area, PIK, the area near the JIS Stadium, JIExpo Kemayoran, and Ancol.
“There are so many good locations. There are too many good options. There are five different locations which are different but not forbidden, which Mr. Bambang Soesatyo mentioned earlier,” he said.
Chairman of the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI) Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet) said five candidates venue The race will be submitted to President Jokowi.
“So there are 5 that we propose to the President. About which one he recommends, the plus-minuses of the provinces,” Bamsoet said in a press conference.
“We hope event this could increase a lot of tourism. The world’s automotive enthusiasts are here and broadcast on more than 150 world televisions and watched by hundreds of at least more than 1.8 billion as yesterday in Mandalika,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Secretary General of PP IMI Ahmad Sahroni said his party would hold an audience with the KPK after the Formula E committee was formed. The KPK, he continued, must take part in the implementation of Formula E.
“So that things don’t happen, even though this is an activity for branding country. We Formula E and all implementers will ask for assistance to the KPK,” he said.
