“President Jokowi Rejects Proposal to Play Case Before 2024 Election, Says Projo Leader”

Ketum Pro Jokowi or ProjoBudi Arie Setiadi, revealed that there was a political party that proposed to play the case before 2024 election. However, Budi Arie called the President Jokowi rejected the proposal.

“Pak Jokowi doesn’t want to use anything to take steps, which, in our opinion, are also less productive. There’s a suggestion, ‘Just open this case, open it’. No,” said Budi Arie at the Adu Perspektif event held detikcom and Total Politics, Wednesday (3/5/2023).

Suddenly Budi Arie’s statement surprised other speakers present, such as the Deputy Head of the Gelora Party Fahri Hamzah and Indostrategic Executive Director Ahmad Khoirul Umam. So it needs confirmation.

“All parties have an interest,” said Budi Arie.

Budi Arie dismissed the suggestion to play the case ahead of the election coming from the Presidential Palace circle. Budi Arie said the proposal came from a political party.

“Yes, not (from the Palace), from the party. I don’t want to mention the party,” he said.

When telling the story, Budi Arie imitated Jokowi’s sentence, Budi Arie said the head of state wanted democracy to run in a healthy manner.

“The legal element, but Pak Jokowi doesn’t want it. ‘No, we have to walk together, so that this democracy stays healthy’. I don’t want Pak Jokowi to justify any means. Because for Pak Jokowi what is the legacy,” said Budi Arie.

“Yes, there is a suggestion. Who proposed it? It’s the job of the media to dig further,” he said.

Indostrategic Executive Director Ahmad Khoirul Umam then questioned Jokowi’s stance on the dynamics at the Attorney General’s Office and the Corruption Eradication Committee without giving examples of concrete cases. Budi Arie emphasized that Jokowi rejected the proposed game of cases ahead of the election.

“When it comes to law, we can’t compromise, right. Pak Jokowi always emphasizes to me, ‘Man, if it’s legal, as long as the evidence is there, it’s there, it doesn’t matter’,” he added.
