President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) filled the weekend by touring Paragon City Mall, Semarang City, Central Java. Jokowi invited his two grandchildren, Jan Ethes Srinarendra and La Lembah Manah.
Quoted from the statement of the Presidential Secretariat, Jan Ethes and Lembah Manah left the hotel on Saturday (25/2/2023), at 19.30 WIB. They joined hands with President Jokowi.
Jan Ethes wore a black shirt, while La Lembah wore a dark knee-length dress. Jokowi himself chose to wear an orange shirt.
Arriving at the mall, the President and his grandson headed for the arcade. La Lembah chose to play cart games, while Jan Ethes chose to play basketball, his favorite sport.
Jokowi accompanies Jan Ethes while occasionally trying to play together. Jan Ethes looks good at putting the ball into the ring.
Apart from playing train and basketball, the two brothers also played fishing rods. President Jokowi only observed the two of them from a distance.
The togetherness between grandparents and grandchildren on weekends was not only felt by the President, but also by one of the mall visitors, Trisnandi. He did not expect that their togetherness today would be felt even more by getting the opportunity to take a photo with President Jokowi.
“Yes, it was me drive grandchildren were playing in this mall, then we approached, then I smiled at Mr. Jokowi, then I was called (for a photo),” said Trisnandi.
For him, the meeting with the President will be a sweet memory for his family.
“Thank you Pak Jokowi for giving us the opportunity to be a family, this is with grandchildren and wife to be together (take pictures),” he continued.
