A mobile screen, starry sky and comfortable seating in the meadow will take the cinema experience in Burghausen to a new level from June 30th to July 2nd and from July 21st to 23rd. On these summer weekends, a free open-air cinema with special films will pop up first in the city park and then on the Napoleonshöhe.

The first is the film “Ivie wie Ivie”, which humorously and sensitively tells of the self-discovery and self-confidence of a young Afro-German woman. Science fiction fans can look forward to the multiple Oscar-winning film “Dune”, which tells the story of a fallen noble family and their attempt to gain control of the desert planet Arrakis. The German comedy “It’s just a phase, rabbit” portrays a couple whose relationship ends in a real relationship crisis after years of happiness.

In the dance film “Fly,” a prison inmate is required to attend a dance class before she is released to help her return to life. As part of a German-Ghanaian evening, “Borga” tells the story of a young man from Ghana who is hoping for great luck in Germany. Before the start, the association “Children’s Dreams Ghana” provides information about its voluntary work and the school project in Ghana. The proceeds from the sale of drinks benefit this project. Finally, “My Terribly Spoiled Family” guarantees lots of laughs when a wealthy businessman teaches his lazy and wasteful kids a lesson and makes them think he’s broke.

Before the films start at 5 p.m., snacks, after-work drinks and summery DJ sound from the “Plan B” café will get you in the mood for a cozy film evening in the Stadtpark. On the Napoleonshöhe, the iconic pop-up gin garden with the mobile bar by Wilka Caravan in cooperation with Taube Bavarian Dry Gin ensures a boisterous summer mood from 5 p.m. The films start at 9 p.m., roughly after dusk. − red
