Premier Inn Germany will put over 20 hotels into operation by the end of 2020: day pass

Premier Inn is picking up speed in Germany and plans to increase the number from three to at least 20 hotels this year. The house in Munich’s Sonnenstrasse begins in March after a soft opening, and the opening of the Premier Inn in Essen is expected to close in 2020 in December.

Over the course of the year, the hotel brand plans to more than six times the number of its hotels in Germany. The wave of expansion begins with the opening of the newly built Premier Inn Munich City (center). Further openings follow, including in Cologne and Essen, Dresden, Leipzig, Stuttgart and Freiburg. In total, Premier Inn Germany has currently secured 48 locations across the country.

Inge Van Ooteghem, COO Premier Inn Germany: “Our affordable and high-quality product in top locations makes us confident that we can achieve good booking figures at all locations. The demand for vacations in Germany and for city trips for people of all ages remains unbroken. ”The recently published forecast by the Federal Statistical Office on the topic of German tourism is also positive. The number of overnight stays reached a record level in 2019 for the tenth time in a row, in November it was 5.2 percent more than in the previous year. Holidays in Germany are still in vogue – with domestic and foreign guests.

The Premier Inn Hotels in Germany want to serve this trend – and say they are very well received. The Premier Inn Frankfurt Messe, for example, has been leading the hotel ranking of the Rhine-Main metropolis on TripAdvisor since it opened in 2016. Last summer, the Frankfurt hotel on the exhibition grounds again received the TripAdvisor “Certificate of Excellence 2019”, as well as the certificate “Recommended on HolidayCheck 2019”.
