Ellie Goulding seeks support during her pregnancy from Princess Eugenie, who welcomed her first child earlier this year. The singer tells this in an interview with the British morning newspaper The Telegraph.
Goulding is expecting her first child with her husband Caspar Jopling. Princess Eugenie liked in February of a son.
“She’s a great friend in this whole process,” she said of her friendship with the British princess. “We have endless conversations about pregnancy.”
Goulding and Eugenie became friends at the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, where Goulding performed. A few years later, Eugenie introduced her to Jopling, whom she married in 2019.
‘Eugenie is very inspiring’
The princess is a source of inspiration for Goulding for the way she wants to approach this exciting period. “She’s very inspiring because she takes it all very calmly and wisely,” she explains.
Goulding announced her pregnancy with a photo shoot in February Voguewhen she was already thirty weeks pregnant. “I needed time to comprehend everything,” says the singer, who released her fourth album last year.
It wasn’t until they moved into their new home that it felt like the right time for Goulding to speak. “I also just had a new bath, which I really wanted to show in the photos!”
