Ekholm scored both goals with a shot from the edge of the box, but the speed was very different in both cases. These were, however, his first two successes in the campaign.
Juuse Saros made 29 saves for the Predators, who have won three of their last four games.
Saros signed a first victory since January 27. Rather, it was Pekka Rinne who defended the Predators’ cage more often than not in February.
Cam Atkinson was the sole scorer for the Blue Jackets, who have lost their last four games. Joonas Korpisalo turned back 31 pucks in the loss.
