After a Pro version, here comes the classic version of the Realme X50 compatible 5G. It has just been announced in France via the opening of pre-orders at Fnac / Darty and is positioned on the same price segment as the OnePlus North. Interesting, isn’t it?
The new Realme X50 intends to overshadow the 5G smartphones available for less than 400 euros, as is already the case with the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite or more recently, the OnePlus North. It too is equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 765G chip to be compatible with the network of tomorrow, but it is clear that it has some advantages compared to its competitors.
120 Hz display and 30 W fast charge
At first glance, this Realme X50 5G does not really differ from its Pro version in terms of design. We find generally the same rounded corner shapes with the same arrangement for the punch in the screen which conceals two cameras for selfies. The panel is then not OLED, but it is still a well calibrated LCD with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A rather rare element on the mid-range. The format goes from 6.44 to 6.57 inches.

Turning the phone over, we see an arrangement identical to the Pro for the four photo sensors (straight vertically), but it is not the same composition. This classic X50 is then equipped with a 48 + 8 + 2 + 2 megapixel photo module which provides more limited versatility than the Pro model without the presence of a telephoto lens. No optical x2 zoom or hybrid x5 zoom therefore, but still a portrait mode, ultra wide-angle and even macro, even if the latter is not very attractive to use.
It then has the particularity of offering a good autonomy thanks to its 4,200 mAh battery. In 120 Hz mode, it managed to last for 44 hours, including 6:39 am when the screen was on. It is then easy to go even further by switching to 60 Hz mode to conserve energy. In addition, its fast charge up to 30 W is very efficient since it offers the possibility of going from 10 to 64% in 30 minutes and finally goes up to 100% 28 minutes later.

The Ralme X50 5G is available for pre-order from August 11 to 16, 2020 at 379 euros on Darty and fnac.com. Moreover, you will receive complimentary Realme Buds Q wireless headphones via ODR, only during this period.
Note that for the period from August 17 to September 27, the Realme X50 5G will then be available at 349 euros thanks to a refund of 30 euros via ODR.
