Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Dismisses Notion of Emotional Debate Performance

Director of Debate for the National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming, Budiman Sudjatmikodismissed the notion Prabowo emotional during the first presidential debate. Budiman said that Prabowo even refused when he was advised to ‘shoot’ another presidential candidate.

Budiman said Prabowo appeared as he was. According to him, Prabowo’s character has also changed a lot, becoming more flexible than in previous presidential election debates.

“Pak Prabowo is what he is, honestly, he is the most harmless person to be the leader of the Indonesian people and he has certainly changed a lot. He is now much more flexible, much more embracing, and if we look at it, it’s not just his gestures, (but) his message “What is the essence being conveyed, unity, embracing, referring,” said Budiman in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (13/12/2023) evening.

Budiman admitted that his party had planned a strategy for Prabowo to attack his rival during the debate. Prabowo, he said, firmly rejected this suggestion.

“Sorry, we as a team and part of the debate advisors, are sometimes naughty, ‘Sir, sometimes you’re naughty, bro, just shoot for a little fun. After all, you were shot many times’. This is for the sake of Allah, for the sake of God, Pak Prabowo, “‘No, you can’t’. Why? Pak Prabowo wants the debate stage to be a place for these 3 people to shine, to shine, to shine,” he said.

Budiman handed it over to the people to provide an assessment of Prabowo’s performance during the debate. Although, according to him, Prabowo could bring up controversial cases on his rivals.

“Let the people judge who is worthy to be president. Why doesn’t Pak Prabowo raise issues, say certain issues with other candidates, about corruption or whatever. Yes, for example, whether it was about corruption or whatever, he refuses. Because of what, that’s “Leave the process elsewhere.
