PowerVision has already released previously not very successful PowerEgg egg-shaped drone, but did not stop there. At CES 2020, she will show her latest achievement – PowerEgg X. This compact egg-shaped device has many uses: it can work as a standalone personal camera with artificial intelligence, a hand-held camera with a 3-axis stabilizer, or, finally, as a folding quadrocopter .

The manufacturer says that PowerEgg X was created in order to satisfy consumer demand for a universal and affordable camera that allows users to instantly share their footage. The creation of PowerEgg X took more than 3 years, more than 300 engineers were involved in the process and over 100 technological patents were issued.
The device weighs only 522 g (more than two times more than DJI Mavic Mini) and has dimensions 165 × 100 × 100 mm. Although a camera similar to the Mavic Mini with a 12-megapixel 1 / 2.8 “sensor and a lens with an angle of 78.4 ° is used, this solution, unlike the creation of DJI, is not only able to record video in 4K, but can do it at a frequency of 60 frames / s.
The drone boasts face recognition and deep learning functions that allow the product to track and memorize objects, even if they have left the field of view, and also respond to hand gestures. In manual mode, the device transforms into a three-axis gimbal, which produces stable UHD videos and can work autonomously for up to 3.5 hours.

In drone mode, PowerEgg X can fly up to 30 minutes with wind at a speed of 31-39 km / h. The PowerEgg X features collision avoidance, precise landing and comes with a waterproof casing and landing pad that allows you to take off and land on water. PowerVision claims the drone can fly in heavy rain – a first in the industry. Another plus is the ability for users to arrange live broadcasts using the microphone of their smartphone or a wireless headset. SyncVoice technology automatically syncs with the video stream.

PowerEgg X will be available for purchase on the PowerVision website in the United States starting at $ 899. Also, the device will appear on January 7 at other retailers, including BestBuy, B&H Photo and Amazon.
