That there was such a relatively clear result in favor of the Brandenburg women at the Margon Arena in front of 2245 spectators was astonishing. There was no favorite, but both teams had the same goal of fighting for tickets to the next round of the cup.

This game started out the way one would like a cup match. It was very tight up to the set point, there were spectacular exchanges, exciting coaches, video tests and highly motivated volleyball players. SC Potsdam started with Maja Savic, Hester Jasper, Anett Nemeth, Anastasia Cekulaev, recovered Sarah van Aalen, Laura Emonts and Aleksandra Jegdic (L).

After 0:1 Potsdam equalized, sometimes ahead, then Dresden had a point or two more and this went on until 21:20. The score was 13:3, which caused incredulous looks in the arena and had a lasting effect on the DSC. At this stage of the game there was almost nothing of equal value to oppose SC Potsdam and that was surprising. Everything was right there, precise service, the intake, the wall. After 24 minutes, with the last exchange, 25:16 was on credit and the score was 2:0.

With a 2-0 in defense, SC Potsdam continued to act concentratedly and had adapted in the long term, in the third, the DSC will do everything to keep the cup game open at home. He was more balanced now. It quickly became 5:1, but coach Alexander Waibl’s protégés equalized at 5:5 and were still equal and up to 11:11.
