Complicit Awards Carnival!

Mr. Rafael López Aliaga had not even been in office for 10 days, and in January he already announced an award called the “Medalla de Lima” to the National Prosecutor, Patricia Benavides.

And, indeed, the situation with a pronounced compadrero tinge was depicted by the headline of Diario Uno on the front page three days ago:

Prosecutor of the Nation honored for being investigated for money laundering

As in the saying: the frying pan tells the pot, don’t smudge me.

La huachafería, that evil Peruvian inscribed in our failed DNA, boasts finesse and elegance when it is more of a low-key slob comedy.

López Aliaga, notable for not paying the more than S/ 30 million he owes to Sunat, and Mrs. Benavides have in common having been fierce supporters against former President Castillo. Along with more than 70 legislators, they have the sole merit of having been efficient promoters of lethal poison and vacancy.

When it comes to prizes, recognitions or distinctions with medals, diplomas, honorable mentions, plaques and other gadgets, there is no shyness worth it and not infrequently those who are going to be decorated pay for the invitation, the eventual orchestra and the occasional dish! !

How many clay idols, paper tigers, pure idiots, have spent their lives showing off their medals, diplomas, honorable mentions, honorary doctorates that fail to hide their minimal sub-intelligence and gigantic egocentrism!

For years and years, kiosk intellectuals and NGO ideologues have enriched their resumes with this kind of self-promotion, and let the mute testimony of pictures on the walls or medals on desks say so. Vanity, monda and lironda.

That obscene frivolity of rewarding your cronies does nothing but repeat commonplaces of the most ridiculous and unacceptable hypocritical camaraderie.

The ultra-conservative narrative has copied the procedure and through it, intends to sweeten the bitter pill that the public contemplates, when they verify that their taxes serve the arrogance of not a few poor devils.

It is possible to glimpse that the vices and defects from which Peru suffers are not exclusive to a singular political sector. Everyone is part of the banquet and the cake is shared with delight among their managing partners!

I have seen how, due to the sick desire to appear in something, mentions were invented accompanied by metal figurines called medals and the frivolity of the matter did not matter, in Peruvian society it is essential to wear the medals.

The awarding of cronies not only ridicules meritocracy, it turns it into zero and attacks those who are not supporters of conservative positions, defenders of the status quo, high salaries, office comforts and media self-hype that comes easily because for that there are dollars, beatings and flatteries willing to make merits.

The plastic, artificial, silly world of honors and celebrations, as false as the non-existent merits of those honored, is pure palliative.

Society must demand that those suspected of mismanagement and who display outward signs of wealth or complicity in huge crimes or highly paid silences, be exhaustively investigated.

And to jail all Christ! Ricardo Palma remembered when a viceroy was jailed for chasing women at night.

The Peruvian toy democracy has its showy faces. It is as if to say that something is being done and being undertaken.

The reality, which is harsher than any pseudo-intellectual or “sociological” face, tells us that the poor ordinary citizen is less defended than before and more only in the customary traditional orphanhood.

It is urgent to learn to distrust those prizes that are awarded a la carte and that are false “recognitions” and rather well-staged frauds.

The National Prosecutor has investigations on it. And his awardee, Mayor López Aliaga owes more than S / 30 million to Sunat. How can he afford the farce?

In Peru we disguise everything with hollow buildings of robust verbiage.

Taking things from Peru seriously, this is not a republic, it is a mojiganga, warned González Prada.
