The Templar Night is the recreation of a fantastic medieval event. Under the light of the first full moon of summer, Frey Guido de Garda, Master of the Order of the Knights Templar, return to the city of Iron bridge to seal with it a covenant of eternal friendship and hand over custody of the symbols found in the sacred land of Jerusalem: the sacred Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail.

«I, Guido de Garda, Master of the Ponsferrata fortress, commit the entire town of Ponferrada to return every year to renew this festive commitment to its history and legend until time comes to erase the horizon line.»
The Templar procession is received in the Glorieta del Temple by thousands of Ponferradinos dressed in medieval clothing who, in a parade and guarding the Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail, head towards the Castle. There a Trial to the Templar Order.
Music, fireworks, street entertainment, and gastronomic tastings make the Templar Night one of the most lively parties of the ponferradino summer. It will take place from Wednesday, June 28 to Sunday, July 2 in different points of the Old Town of the capital of Bierzo and you can find more info at www.ponferrada.org.

- Templar Moon Bankruptcy – Wednesday 28 – 24h. Town Hall Square
In the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Ponferrada, with the sound of the drums the Templar Nights under the first full moon of the summer solstice handing over, the Regidor de la Villa, the keys of the Castle of the Templars of Ponferrada to the Prior of the Order, under the custody of the Templar Honor unit. Parade to the Ponferrada Castle to open the gates of the Templar Fortress.
- Ordination of Knights and Little Squires – Thursday 29 – 9:30 p.m. Plaza de la Encina and 22:15. Templar Castle
In the Square of the Virgin of the Oak The ceremony is held in which the small squires of the Templar Castle are ordered. At Courtyard of the Castle Palace, the Master Guido de Garda Order new Knights Templar, Servants, and Guardians of the Templar Night.
- Offering to the Templar Knight – Thursday 29 – 23h. Oak Square
The newly ordained Knights, escorted by members of the Association of Friends of the Templar NightThey go on parade from the Castle to the Plaza de la Encina. In the Plaza de la Virgen de la Encina, the new knights and the Friends of the Templar Night Association make the offering to Bronze Brother.
