Poll: Seven out of ten think Jonas Gahr Støre will be Norway’s next prime minister

It comes out on TV 2 s new prime minister poll for August. There are 5 percentage points more who now believe that Støre will become prime minister than at the poll in July.

At the same time, more people now want Støre as prime minister. 39.5 percent say they want the Labor leader as the country’s next prime minister, an increase of 2.6 percentage points.

At the same time, faith in Sp leader Trygve Slagsvold Vedum is falling. Right after the SP national assembly in June appointed Vedum as the party’s prime ministerial candidate, as many as 20 per cent had faith in the SP leader. Now only 8.5 percent believe that he will become prime minister after the election.

20.3 percent believe that Erna Solberg will continue as prime minister.

The survey was recorded by Kantar for TV 2 with telephone interviews of 977 people between 3 and 6 August. The margin of error is +/- 1.4 to 2.8 percentage points.
