Police suspect that Rubene’s grave has been destroyed by two young children
Riga, June 29, LETA. The police have found out that the Rubene cemetery in Kocēni municipality may have been destroyed by two young children last week, Zane Vaskāne, a senior specialist of the Vidzeme Region Office of the State Police (VP), informed LETA.
Given that children are involved in the case, the police do not comment further on the circumstances of the incident. Police are continuing the investigation, Vaskāne added.
LETA has already reported that in the period from June 25 to the morning of June 26, in the “Rubene cemetery” of Kocēni parish of Kocēni district, crosses were demolished, monuments were overturned and flower seedlings were dug up. The police started criminal proceedings about what happened.
