Careful, a palm tree overtakes from the left … A 55-year-old man has been stopped by the police because of an unusual load in Saarlouis (Saarland).

The trunk and crown of a palm tree more than four meters high protruded from the sunroof of his car on Saturday morning, the police said. The man’s car thus exceeded the permissible vehicle height.

The police opened an investigation into a traffic offense. The driver finally transported the palm tree with a larger delivery truck – lying down.
