Police Search MBC Reporter Im Mo’s Residence for Leaked Personal Information of Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon

The police are also attempting to seize and search the MBC building in Sangam-dong, Seoul by sending investigators.

Previously, independent member Kim Min-seok of Gangseo-gu filed a complaint with the police last month for violating the Personal Information Protection Act, saying that there were circumstances in which data containing personal information, such as an abstract of a minister and a family member’s resident registration, were leaked.

The police are said to have reported that this material was submitted to the National Assembly at the time of a ministerial confirmation hearing and then leaked outside, and that Lim was involved in the process and is tracking the leaked route.

The police plan to analyze Lim’s mobile phone and Minister Han-related data obtained today to determine how Lim was involved in the leak of Minister Han’s personal information.
