British police shot dead a man who stabbed several people on a busy street in Steatham, south London, on Sunday, police said.
The act is described as “terrorist” by the authorities. Witnesses said on social media that they heard three shots shortly after 2 p.m. (3 p.m. in Belgium), the BBC added.
“At this stage, we believe that several people have been stabbed,” the police said on his twitter account, adding that “we are studying the circumstances” of this act which “has been declared to be linked to terrorism”.
