In a house in the center of Dordrecht, the police seized more than 1,200 nitrates and about 125 cobras. The 16-year-old occupant of the building has been arrested.
Officers tracked down the heavy fireworks after an anonymous tip, reports Rijnmond. “They paid a visit to the home of the suspect. The find was made there,” said the police.
The police warns against having illegal fireworks in the house. “The storage of heavy, illegal fireworks in people’s homes poses great risks to themselves and their environment. The illegal fireworks that are found have enormous power and impact and are life-threatening,” police said.
