A motorist in his forties refused to submit to a police check on Monday March 4. A chase began from Périgueux to Marsac-sur-l’Isle.

On the evening of Monday March 4, a police patrol wanted to check a vehicle, in this case an Audi driven by a motorist in his forties. But the latter refused to comply and a chase lasting several minutes began in the streets of Périgueux.

He locks himself in his car

Running the lights, stopping before rushing off again or reversing, the motorist crossed Périgueux at high speed from the Toulon district to the station district, via rue Pierre-Sémard, Place Roosevelt , rue Antoine-Gadaud, the Lanxade roundabout and rue des Mobiles, Louis-Blanc and Henri-Barbusse.

The chase finally ended around 10 p.m., on the road to Bordeaux, in Marsac-sur-l’Isle. The police were not at the end of their surprise since this motorist in his forties, unknown to the justice system, locked himself in his vehicle. The peace guards had to break the window to extract this individual. He refused to blow the balloon to test his blood alcohol content, which ultimately turned out to be negative. However, he did not explain his actions while in police custody. He will have to answer for his actions on July 12 before the Périgueux criminal court.
