In a forest near Kyneton and Warwick in the UK, a passerby discovered a body dumped inside as he passed by. After receiving the report, the local police rushed to the scene and blocked nearby roads for 31 hours. In the end, it was discovered that it was a false alarm and the female body turned out to be a discarded inflatable doll.
According to the British “Sun” report, a passerby was walking through the forest when he noticed unnatural hands and feet sticking out of the wood next to him. He was so frightened that he quickly called the police. After receiving the report, police closed the nearby road and forensic teams investigated as a homicide. “Police believe they are investigating a murder and have officers on both sides of the road, as well as two forensic vehicles and other investigators actively looking for clues,” a local source said.
After nearly two days of investigation, the police finally pulled out the body and found that it was a very dirty, damaged and overused inflatable doll, which may cost as much as 1,500 pounds.
A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “We are very pleased to announce that pathologists were able to identify the feet and hands under the bushes as actually belonging to a discarded life-size doll.”
The police also stated that they followed appropriate procedures in conducting the investigation, and thanked the passers-by who reported the incident at the time, and also thanked the local people for their willingness and patience to wait and cooperate with the entire investigation process.
